Meet our judges

Dr Eva Kalpadaki

Eva Kalpadaki is a fine art photographer born in Crete who moved to the UK on a Greek State Foundation Scholarship to gain her PhD in Arts and Communication at University of Creative Arts. Living and working in Brighton following the dual path of teaching photography and pursuing fine art photography, Eva Kalpadaki is known for creating diachronic images that prompt viewers to question what they are looking at and the very nature of photography. The Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 exhibition selected Eva to exhibit her work across various solo and group shows.

Jo Teasdale

Having recently been awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society for her conceptual portfolio ‘The Factory’, Brighton-based Jo Teasdale has discovered her own styles and mediums throughout her artistic journey. Exhibiting at the Brighton Photo-Biennual Fringe Festival has placed Jo Teasdale on the map as a contemporary photographer to watch. As well as regular exhibitions, Jo has been published in British Life Portfolio, she has won ‘Living the View’ category of Landscape Photographer of the Year and has had images accepted by the London Salon of Photography, winning a Salon medal.
